History

Cape Cod Center for Women, Inc. was conceived in 1992 and incorporated in 1994 with the mission, goals and objectives to open a confidential domestic violence shelter on Cape Cod, and to provide safety, comprehensive advocacy, education, and support services to the battered women and children staying in this confidential shelter. After a few years of planning, fundraising, and providing temporary support groups and counseling services, in March 2000, the CCCW shelter opened full-time and has been serving clients from a variety of communities in our commonwealth ever since.
